Prague – one of the world's most beautiful and popular cities is a true architectural gem thanks to its mixture of urban styles. Monuments from the Romanesque, Gothic, Baroque, Art Nouveau and Cubist periods give the city an extraordinary character. The famous history of the city dates from the 9th century. It had the reputation of one of the most beautiful cities in Europe as early as the Medieval age and was called "golden", "hundred-spired", "crown of the world" or "stone dream".
