Bohemian Elegance – Grand Opening of Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest

In the spirit of the refined 1920s and 1930s, the newest all-suite boutique hotel in Budapest – Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest – has officially opened its doors, located just steps away from the city’s iconic Chain Bridge.
A Grand Opening Full of Atmosphere
The evening’s warm-spirited host, Gábriel Farkas, not only guided the event and performed, but also emphasized the core message of the hotel’s inauguration:
“Today marks not only the opening of a new hotel, but also the beginning of a new era – a new landmark on Budapest’s hospitality map, serving as a bridge between the past and the present.”
During the celebration, the hotel’s official slogan was also revealed:
“A place where the world meets Budapest – bohemian elegance in a modern guise.”
This motto perfectly captures the hotel’s mission: to bring the joy and vitality of life into the present, while blending Budapest’s historic essence with international comfort and contemporary design.
Key Figures of the Evening
The official opening speech was delivered by István Nagy-Szász, Regional Director of CPI Hotels Hungary Kft., followed by Zoltán Somlyai, President of the Hungarian Hotel and Restaurant Association (MSZÉSZ).
Also taking the stage was Zoltán Varró, the iconic architect responsible for the hotel’s interior design. All speakers agreed on the project’s distinctive character and its importance for Budapest’s hotel scene.
The Symbolic Handover of Keys
One of the evening’s highlights was the ceremonial key handover.
Péter Papp, Production Director of EBH Invest, symbolically returned the key to Gergő Franciscy, former General Manager of the Starlight Hotel, who then presented it to Diána Ambrus, the new General Manager of Mamaison Hotel Chain Bridge Budapest.
The ribbon-cutting that followed marked the beginning of a new chapter for the CPI Hotels group.
A Tour Full of Surprises
After the official ceremony, guests were invited to tour the hotel – and surprises awaited them at every turn.
Each suite hosted a unique performance: from meeting a “Flower Lady” relaxing in the lounge, to encountering a living “Golden Statue” in the Penthouse Chain Bridge suite.
Evening Celebration
The evening continued with an exclusive buffet dinner accompanied by live music and dance performances. The atmosphere reached its peak with the arrival of a birthday cake and a festive prize draw featuring a special surprise courtesy of the CPI Hotels Hungary team.
