The Clarion Congress Hotel Prague hosted the 5th annual largest wedding trade fair in the Czech Republic on 16 – 17 January 2015. On an area of more than 3,000 m2, more than 140 exhibitors presented their complete lines of clothing, accessories and services for future newlyweds. They could choose from a wide selection of engagement rings, wedding dresses, flowers, decorations, wedding announcements, and the services of photographers and wedding coordinators. In addition to the opportunity to arrange a wedding for a lower trade fair price, visitors enjoyed a rich accompanying programme and thus gathered inspiration for their wedding during fashion shows for men’s and women’s wedding clothing and a mini concert of experienced wedding bands.
A wedding cakes and catering show was a pleasure not only for the eyes but also the taste buds. The host Clarion Congress Hotel Prague and the Prague hotels Mamaison Hotels & Residences and Buddha-Bar Hotel Prague participated in the presentation of the art of making sweets. “Visitors could see and sample small wedding sweets, chocolate truffles, and macaroons in the Benada restaurant. Beautiful designer wedding cakes from the workshop of our talented pastry chefs dominated,” said Miroslav Bukva, Director of Clarion Congress Hotel Prague.
“This year’s wedding trade fair was really busy, and not just in terms of the number of exhibitors and the programme. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people were interested in seeing the trade fair. The conference floor of the hotel was a hive of activity the entire weekend. Perhaps also because what was offered was very varied and future newlyweds had the opportunity to arrange their wedding here really from A to Z,” added Miroslav Bukva.
The final of the Wedding Cake 2015 event was held on the second day of wedding madness. The final, in addition to the main prize, had competitions in the categories of Wedding Cake Design, Wedding Set of Cupcakes, Sugar Flower Modelling, Junior Engagement Cake, and Café Dessert with Callebaut chocolate. The proverbial icing on the cake in the Clarion Congress Hotel Prague was the Sweetest VIP competition, in which famous people competed for the most beautiful cake and it was won by Taťana Makarenko.
